Please do not test the kernel in the mainline kernels archive directory daily folder, but the one all the way at the bottom. I guess the keyboard worked during the Ubuntu install though. This change has been made by an automated script, maintained by the Ubuntu Kernel Team. I have a feeling if I could only bypass the login screen, and automatically get into the desktop, I will be ok.
