All now working properly at last and able to get Sky in both bedrooms. To check, key Services > Settings > Picture. I found one set that got the tv to switch off, but now I can't get Sky to work from the remote. The solution is to solder the inner core of the coax to the end of the pin. Give it a gentle tug to make sure it is fitted correctly.
