I have tried another mouse same problem. I havent tried the "HP" one (whish is my main mouse) in my old computer yet but my GF uses the other mouse on my old computer usually and did so XP 'found new hardware' and it worked in a few seconds. right..

Video and sound also are choppy. I did the thing with the battery and removing usb hubs on the Asus laptop but that did not help for me. It worked with everything else, and the 3.0 ports worked with the mouse. No way to get is properly installed. and is i hit lsusb without the receiver, it takes around 20-30 seonds to display the result, but without it did not take more than a fraction of a second to
