my icons on the start screen aren't working, and none of the buttons recommended apply to mine. If this were my desktop I'd try to undo the last update, not sure how to do that w/ Surface Pro 3. My touch screen is dead. I had the same thing happen to me with my SP2 except my "phantom touches" we're happening along the edge of the screen.

Coincidentally it quit working this morning after an update. if i had to guess i'd say a forced/auto firmware load failed...it seems the only likely cause. One person I heard about was able to get his working again recently by doing this (i.e. Touch Screen Not Working Android Once it pulled away, I gently lay it back down (after panicking!!) and hey presto it started working again.
