I set it as default and it does come up, however music or sound does not play from it. installed it and it works really good....(the driver was for vista not for win 7) so try downloading your laptops driver... Toshiba put a folder, TOSAPINS, on my laptop that has every driver, helper app, goodie program, links to their web sites, etc. Works perfectly now! And also try different headphones, those could have messed up as well. I think it may be a hardware problem since I tried all that stuff. Linux does amazingly well, but their biggest weakness is drivers. Probably a long shot, but nothing ventured...
