Toshiba Laptop Speakers Not Working Headphones Work

Thanks to you and everybody who posted offering advice to the rest of us! Several days ago I found that my laptop buit in speaker is not working.Before this problem occured, I played a DVD and it produced a poor sound from laptop speaker. no sound from my laptop..
